Mike Morris

Strategic Advisor

Michael Morris operates as a Strategic Advisor for SeventySix Capital serving its Advisory clients and portfolio companies. In this role, he offers strategic guidance and advice to emerging technology providers, operators, teams, and leagues as well as established professional team owners, executives, league officials, and collegiate athletic departments. He helps these individuals and entities navigate the evolving sports landscape, evaluate emerging technology, scale operations, mature capabilities, and translate innovation into long term-term enterprise value. 

Morris has more than 25 years of experience in Sports, Media and Entertainment. Previously, he served as Chief Information Officer of Legends Global, a premium experiences company founded by the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys delivering a broad array of services to leading Sports and Entertainment organizations and venues across the globe. In that role, he was a member of the executive management team and was responsible for all aspects of Legends’ Technology, Analytics, and Innovation strategy, delivery and support across all business units. 

Prior to joining Legends, Morris served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Major League Baseball where he spent more than 14 years in various technology management roles within the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball. 

Prior to MLB, he worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC (PwC) in New York City providing management consulting and technology services to a variety of Fortune 500, Sports, and Media companies. Morris began his career at EDS in Washington, DC where he successfully completed the EDS Systems Engineering Development Program. 

Morris holds a B.A. in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University. He lives in Yardley, Pennsylvania with his wife, Lexie, and their children Michael and Tommy.
