Matt Kauffman is a sports and entertainment business leader with more than 25 years of experience helping global brands and technology innovators accelerate growth through strategic partnerships and integrated marketing. His work centers on building and expanding business value at the intersection of sports, media, technology, and innovation.
Kauffman is the Founder of Insight Sports, advising brands and early-stage tech companies on enterprise-wide commercial strategies, sponsorship strategy, market expansion, and partnership development. His clients have included companies participating in NBA LauchPad, MLS Innovation Lab, and the Comcast Sports Tech Accelerator.
Previously, Kauffman served as Vice President at Wasserman, where he led strategic planning and business development for sports technology startups and consumer brands, helping companies optimize market strategy, accelerate commercial growth, and secure transformative partnerships.
Prior to Wasserman, Kauffman was Head of Sports and Marketing Partnerships at Intel, where he led the integration of advanced technologies into live sports and entertainment with the NFL, NBA, MLB, ESPN X Games, the Olympics, and the Grammy Awards. His leadership helped earn Intel recognition on Ad Age's Marketer A-List and a Cannes Gold Lion, demonstrating how technology can transform fan engagement and brand storytelling. Kauffman also oversaw Visa’s global sponsorship portfolio, including the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, NFL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR, and Disney, contributing to Visa being named Sports Business Journal’s “Sports Sponsor of the Year.” He began his career at General Motors EventWorks, ultimately serving as Vice President of Sports and Entertainment Marketing.
Kauffman was recognized as one of Sports Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” most influential sports executives. He earned his degree from the University of Michigan and currently serves as Co-Chair of the University's Sport Management Advisory Board.
